Saunas

Smoke Sauna
The two-room smoke sauna at Laugu Tourism Farm is inspired by a type of sauna that was widely popular in Saaremaa at the end of the 19th century. The stove of the smoke sauna is located on the right side of the sauna room facing the door, and the long bench spans the entire back wall. In front of the sauna, there is a shelter planned, and a low door leads to the anteroom. Saunas with a similar layout spread across Estonia, with differences only in the placement of the stove and bench, as well as minor details. A characteristic feature of the Saaremaa smoke sauna is the limestone wall behind the stove and between the two rooms, which is important for fire safety. Heating the smoke sauna takes six hours, after which the sauna must be ventilated for one hour. However, the result is a sauna that cleanses a person both inside and out.

Log Sauna Outdoors The log sauna outdoors was built around the 1930s and has recently been renovated to retain its original charm. The log sauna is included in the price for guests.

Farmhouse Sauna In the farmhouse, we offer an authentic Saaremaa sauna. The sauna is included in the price for the entire house or for guests on the first floor.
